What makes the box version different from the garden or premium models?

The rafter ends. The box build uses straight square-cut ends on the rafters and runners rather than the sculpted profiles on the garden model or the full premium detailing. There are no pedestal panels at the post bases and no curved corner braces. The construction and all other options are the same. It is the right choice for a modern garden where a more decorative roofline would look out of place.

Does it need a wall to lean against?

No. This is a freestanding structure supported entirely on its own posts. It can stand on a patio, a lawn, decking or any firm, reasonably level surface. The posts should be fixed down — bolt-down feet on hard surfaces, or concreted in on softer ground, especially if a polycarbonate roof is going on.

What sizes are available?

Fifty-one sizes, from 1.8m wide by 1.8m long up to 4.8m wide by 7.8m long. Width is the measurement across the shorter dimension and length is the longer run. Bespoke footprints are available for dimensions between or beyond the listed range.

Can I add a polycarbonate roof?

Yes. Polycarbonate roof kits are an optional upgrade chosen at point of order. Clear, opal or bronze sheets with white or brown glazing bars. When a roof is selected, a five degree pitch is built into the structure to drain rainwater away. Fix the posts down securely once a roof goes on — a roofed structure catches wind.

What maintenance does the timber need?

The pressure treatment handles rot and fungal attack for years without any intervention. The surface stain — Rustic Brown or Light Green — is what fades, and that is worth reapplying every two to three years if you want to keep the colour consistent. The structure does not depend on the surface coat for its core protection.
