The Ultraline Classic from Roma Verandas is the veranda architects reach for. Its cubic flat roof extends past the posts in a deliberate overhang, casting a crisp shadow line across the back of the house and adding depth that a plain flat roof simply cannot. Spans of up to 7m between two posts keep the space beneath completely open.

It works hardest over a full-width patio behind bifold or sliding doors, where the overhang shades the glass in summer. Narrower posts are available where a lighter area suits the back of the house better.
